Ennio Morricone
1928 - 2020

Maestro Ennio Morricone, has sadly left us on July 06th 2020 He was remarkably the most awarded, influential and high souled inspirational Composer of all Italian history of Filmscore writing, and has masterfully given the world of Cinema more than 1000 pieces that cover, colour and flow from timeless extraordinary beautifulness landscaping to pictures of an era of exquisite experimentation, that goes from highest classic Italian Western atmospheres, etherealness of Giallo whispers to the more complex and brightly flavored jazz and Bossanova, most of his themes are recognized for his special touch on lighting one`s attention on pedal figures on the Piano or rhythmic instrument such as the Vibrephone that lay over ever changing and mounting string progression climaxes, that embodies the core mood of the musical piece…
Maestro was born on November 10th in Rome and after playing the trumpet in jazz bands in the 1940s, he became a studio arranger for RCA Victor and in 1955 started ghost writing for film and theatre. Throughout his career, he has composed music for many artists as well, yet his greatest years of both experimentation with the most delicate elements of music, scene and international rhythms arose from 1960 to 1975 to fulfil one, if not the greatest Filmscore writing career of all times.
Give us a moment,
to enjoy the delicate artistry, musical craft and legacy of Golden Italian Filmscore history , on the sounds of
Maestro ENNIO MORRICONE
¨My more risky or avant garde music is not that well known to a wider audience, but I wish it was¨
